Free Creative Watercolor Course
Welcome to class!
I am so happy to have you here! Thanks for joining!
Just a quick review at how the course works and what we are going to learn together.
Lesson#1: Supplies and materials we are using for our project. We will go through paper, brushes, paint.
Lesson#2: Choosing a color palette. We will ask ourselves what colors are we drawn to and select a few for our project. Actually we will work with only 3 colors. So if you want to start thinking about those colors, go ahead!
Lesson#3: First steps and Mark making. This is when the real fun starts. We will make a catalog of marks and brush strokes that we will use later on.
Lesson#4: In the last video we will put together everything we´ve learned and we will create an abstract watercolor piece.
I promise we will have a super time together and you´ll be amazed at what we are all able to do with a little guidance.

Lesson 1: Supplies
I this video we will go through the supplies we will be using for the course. My idea is to keep it simple. Two watercolor brushes, watercolor paper and watercolors, of course.
I have prepared a downloadable PDF with everything I mention in the video. Please consider this just as a guide. There is no need for you to go out and buy everything on the list. Use what you have available at home.

Lesson 2: Choosing our colors
In this video we will analyse the colors we are drawn to. This will help us decide on a color palette for our project. It´s going to be a limited palette. We will try to stick to 3 or 4 colors.
I am linking a file with a color wheel I did a while ago. You can print it out, use it as a guide for this lesson or as an idea to create your own. I love the messy splashy feel of this one.

Lesson 3: Mark Making
This is when real fun begins!
In this video we will walk together through the process of creating a catalog of strokes and marks. We will use basic techniques like wet on dry, wet on wet, etc.
We´ll also do lots of mark making with our watercolors, we´ll lift paint and we´ll use only water to create our personal marks.

Lesson 4: The project
It´s time to put together everything we have learned and create our own abstract watercolor piece.
It´s time for fun. No pressure, no expectations, no right or wrong. Just flow, enjoy and let the watercolors do their thing.
