Mark Making I
Bring some added value to your piece just by including some enjoyable mark making. You can use all sorts of marks. Little dots, small circles, big circles, leaves and other botanical elements, thin lines, long lines, thick ones. Anything that will bring some texture and interest will do. I like using black for my marks, because of the contrast with the more muted watercolor colors. Another option I like a lot is using tone sur tone colors, to give my piece a cohesive look.
